Sam Flynn FULL Tron Set

Finally, we can get the full Tron Sets running from a single portable Driver.

This Tron Full EL Panel Set is a combination of the Flynn Replica Torso Set and the Tron Leg Set.

There are details of how we suggest the layout for replica below.

It goes on a bit, but this is to help you get it exactly right. It is all actually very easy to use and just clips together.

The guy on the right of the picture below has used the set to make a copy of the Sam Flynn costume, (please note that we do not supply the disc he is holding).

The girl on the left has created her own Tron inspired design with the same set. The design is completely flexible if you want to use it that way.

We suggest finding a comfortable garment to attach it to.

All these Tron Sets comes with sewable velcro to go on the costume and sticky hook & loop tape that goes on the back of the Panels/Tapes, making it very easy to attach to any clothing.

The full list of what you get with this set and our suggested layout:

Torso Pieces

1) Two pieces of replica shaped EL Tape for the front of a Sam Flynn Costume - a Left and a Right

2) A single 1.5cm x 15cm EL Tape for the glowing mid line.

3) A 14cm EL Identity Disc for the back of the costume.

4) Two pieces of 2cm x 40cm Curved EL Tape for the back of a Tron Costume to go round the ID Disc and over the shoulder.

5) Two Pieces of 1.5cm x 15cm EL Tape for the top of the arms of the Tron costume.

6) 2 pcs 2 Way Splitters, 2 pcs Mini 3 Way Splitters, a 5 Way Splitter, and 2 pcs of our Short-Long Splitters to make it a simple 'plug and play' but also with plenty of room for the wire to stretch around the costume.

7) 2 metres of hook & loop tape - with sticky hoop and sewable loop to make it easy to attach the set to a costume and have it removable.

8) A single Powerful 8xAA 12v Battery Box or a 3000mAh Rechargeable Li-ion battery pack (Li-ion batteries are only available to the UK due to airmail restrictions).

If you are making a costume, it is a good idea to plan it out properly.

For this set, the Driver/Inverter is very powerful and comes with a separate power pack.

So here are the dimensions of all the parts plus lengths of wire between them.

THE POWER PACK

Takes 8 x AA batteries (not supplied) and is 12.7cm x 7.2cm x 1.9cm

The inverter is 6cm x 4cm x 4cm

Left and Right Flynn Replica EL Tapes

The EL Tape is 30cm from top to tail with the stick and hoop that comes in near the shoulder adding another 8cm.

The EL Tape is just 350 microns thick - that is 1/3rd of a millimetre!

Sticky back hook & loop tape is supplied that is the exact width of the EL Tape - be careful putting it on as that glue is VERY sticky.

You must sew the other part of the hook & loop tape onto the costume making it very convenient to attach and remove for washing.

Of course, you don't need to use the hook & loop tape and fix it any way you choose.

Mid-Line

Sam Flynn has a small line of light that runs down the middle of his chest. This is lit by the 1.5cm x 15cm EL Tape provided. This EL Tape can be easily cut to shape if you prefer it smaller.

EL Identity Disc

This Large El Hoop is 14cm in diameter, there are two thin EL Tapes running in concentric circles and the inner diameter is just over 9cm across.

2cm x 40cm Curved Outline

The EL Tape is curved so is 37 cm from top to tail - it has been designed to go on the back round the ID Disc and curve over the shoulder.

EL Tape for the Arms

2 pcs of 1.5cm x 15cm EL Tape, one for each arm.

SPLITTERS

This is how we recommend using the Splitters:

A 2 Way Splitter coming straight from the Inverter - this divides the front and the back:

The First channel goes to a 3 Way Splitter to power the front of the costume - The left and right Flynn Tape plus the mid-line.

The Second channel can be fitted with the extender wire and this will allow it to reach to the back of the costume.

A 3 Way Splitter attaches to this:

1 channel does the 1.5cm x 15cm left arm

2nd channel does the left 2cm x 40cm curved outline

And the 3rd channel has another 3 Way Splitter

1st channel attaches to the ID Disc

2nd Channel has the Right 2cm x 40cm curved outline

3rd channel does the 1.5cm x 15cm right arm

Depending on where you have the inverter, you may or may not need the extender wire

The Leg Section

1) Two pieces of replica shaped EL Tape for the boots of a Tron Costume - Sam Flynn, Rinzler or Quorra

2) Two pieces of shaped and angled EL Tape to go round the knees

3) Two pieces of sacral shaped EL Panel to go at the lower back

4) Two pieces of 2cm x 25cm EL Tape

5) A Powerful 8xAA 12v Battery Box for the EL Driver.

6) A 2 Way Splitter, 3 Way Splitter and 2 pcs of 'Short, Medium and Long' Splitters.

7) 2 metres of hook & loop tape - with sticky hoop and sewable loop to make it easy to attach the set to a costume and have it removable.

The Leg Set is available in Light Blue

DRIVER

The Torso and Leg set run off the same Driver

SPLITTER

The Splitter is 40cm long in total,

it is 20cm of wire which then splits into separate strands which are all 20cm long.

A 3-way splitter attaches to the driver

One of these channels has a 2-way splitter attached that runs round the back to clip into the pair of EL Sacral pieces

The other two channels have a special '3 way Small Midi and Long' splitter attached to them that run down each leg

These SML splitters have:

one Short channel that plugs to the 25cm Tape.

Then the Middle channel plugs into the Knee Joint section

The Long channel goes down to the Shin to plug into the Double Hoop

The three pieces of EL Tape that run down the leg are:

1) SHIN

This 15cm Double Hoop is designed to run from your shin to the ankle to give a great finishing touch to any Tron costume (these are also available for other parts of your Tron costume in our store

2) KNEE JOINT

Running up from the boot piece, this piece of EL Tape takes an angle round the knee, exactly as in the original costumes

This has been made to the largest size and will not fit everyone so it has been designed so you can just snip it down to the right size for you

That's right, it really is as easy as just cutting the unwanted part off either or both ends (sealing the cut with sellotape, glue or clear nail varnish is highly recommended)

3) 2cm x 25cm EL Tape

Another piece that can be cut to size is this straight piece of EL Tape that runs from the Knee Joint up to join the top half of the costume

Coming off the two way splitter at the back of the costume:

4) EL SACRAL

This pair of pieces sits at the base of the spine and looks pretty awesome
