Antique Victorian Style Door Trim Plinth Block - Circa 1885 Butternut Architectural Salvage. The dimensions are 4 5/8" x 7 1/2" x 7/8". This is a great looking very nice Victorian style door trim plinth block that has the original shellac (varnish) finish with an absolutely beautiful aged patina. This is a beautiful piece and is ready for installation!

This type of wood was very commonly used in our area for the exquisitely crafted Victorian buildings from the 1860's to the early 1910's. Since then it has become virtually extinct except for fast growth trees for quick harvest. The grain and finished patina is absolutely beautiful and is truly unique (some refer to it as white walnut).
