This is a set of 12 picture cards showing the sequence of getting dressed. The stages are colour coded to allow for choice and weather. The cards can also be used on charts and timetables. These cards help your young person/adult learn, or relearn after memory loss, the basic sequence to getting dressed. We also offer this type of pack for boys, girls and men, see our other listings. These are ideal as a starter set when first using a visual communication system or visual timetable. They are easily recognisable and will help your young person/ adult to express their choice. The set is great to use with people with memory loss as well as those with communication difficulties.
The sets are available in four different sizes and also on key rings. The pictures are suitable for all communication systems and books/ folders. For example Pecs, story lines, story boards, sentence strip, schedules, communication books, and many other communication methods. We also offer this set as a Choice Board which allows the individual to point at the item and also helps with interaction with their carer. The choice board can be contained within a folder and transported round, great for using within a care setting. There is also an A4 wall chart and a smaller prompt chart.
The key ring option makes transportation and communication between places very easy.
This set is offered as Flash cards which are 7 X 10 cm and also square cards in sizes 3 cm, 4.5 cm and 6 cm. All sizes are also on sale on key rings. These can be bought with either square corners or rounded corners. The flash cards and key rings do not have Velcro dots on the back but the square cards do for use with communication systems. There is also the A4 wall chart and a smaller chart.

The pictures are laminated, so they can be wiped clean. All our items come packed in a re-usable folder for safe storage when not being used.

The set is perfect in any setting, including schools, nurseries, childminders, care homes as well as personal home use and will help all children/ young person/ adults who have autism/ special needs/ learning/ communication/ memory difficulties. It is also ideal as an Early Learning Aid.
If using a visual communication system for the first time there are things you may need to consider such as the age and dexterity of your child/ young person/ adult. So we offer this set in three square sizes.
The 6 cm pictures are especially good for young children and those with visual difficulties. The very popular 4.5 cm pictures are great for children/ young people/ adults who are learning how to use a visual communication and while they develop their fine motor skills. They are easier to use than the 3 cm pictures which are for the more practised children/ young people/ adults.
You may also wish to think about how portable your system might need to be and how many cards your child/ young person/ adult will possibly have to carry around, as this may determine the size of the pictures you want. Many people use a larger size at home or school/ activity/ care centre and use a smaller more portable set when travelling between places. Eventually the smaller size could be used more permanently. Consider eventually buying two sets so you can have one at home and one at another place which is attended regularly as consistency is very important.
