A scarce Patrick Hamilton book to find in the first edition. The UK first is very uncommon, this the first US is perhaps a little easier to locate but still remains scarce.

Bound in the publishers black cloth with pink lettering to spine and front board. 357pp. OVERALL VERY GOOD CONDITION. Book sits solid and square. Tight binding and inner hinges remain secure. Text is clean with no inscriptions. Pages edges are rough cut as published. A few pages, including ages 39 and 40 have been rather carelessly opened and hence these pages are somewhat jagged to the edges. I suspect this is a common problem with this book. Please see attached pictures. The corners are very gently bumped. Binding has very slight wear and overall signs of handling commensurate with age. Top of front board is ever so slightly faded, not too noticeable.

CERTAINLY A VERY NICE COPY WHICH HAS BEEN WELL PRESERVED OVER THE YEARS.
