Roughly about 2 to 3 years back in the summer i was at a flea market and a pro. dealer i know had these very interesting block print concert posters from the 90s of these great bands and music groups that came into providence R.I..  I checked them out and thought they were the real deal (however never being hung and having no signs of hanging i inquired).  I have bought from this guy in the past he has been in this racket for years.  He confirmed they were new stock never used to advertise the concert.  I found out later how he came upon them (in a minute).  They looked right and were things i have had before but not nearly as clean or as many.  I assumed he bought a collection.  there were like 72 of them.  I went back and forth talking price point and we finally settled on 1400 for the pile. I met him the next day at the bank and this pile 72 pieces maybe 14 or 15 different concerts were present.  Luckily or by dumb luck i found a collector/record show guy that bought them by the following wed. for a quick 1000 profit.  I took the cash and ran (very happy).  

Now about 2 weeks later i get a call from the original supplier asking me about the posters.  He has me come to his house and there is sitting a 3 foot pile of these posters which makes me very suspicious.  I mean i just sold them to guy as the real deal (I mean they all point to legit for me and the collector/dealer said they were right).  In addition the guy i bought them from has never steered me wrong and i have known him for like 8 years.  He lays the story down for me and wants me to take the whole load at a price.  I dont want a bad rep or want to pay premium prices for repros.  i did a little home work and despite them looking right to me and i did inquire explicit details to check out.  Here is what he told me which seems to fit with all the phone call i made and friends in the know.

1.  all the print work for these venues for the mid to late 90s was done by the same artist/promoter/printer in design then printed by a company listed above known for such work.

2.  He (the artist) had a studio on the west side of providence RI

3.  He was moving to florida and had tons of things he designed  and some signed in this facility/shop

4. My supplier went in on the music items  with a guy that new this guy and this is how he had 100 percent of this item.

I have confirmed the producing artist stopped and moved although his facebook is still operational.

I know his friends bought tons of items (paper, all paper)

He also designed adds for more commercial ventures (mom and pop or small market bus. around Not coke or chevy)

To my surprise after i bought them i found a couple guys that had bought some stuff and they told me every piece of paper was a buck.  

Since the sell out of the artist they went to my supplier. then me the 72 pieces went to the guy i sold them to.  The only other 2 sales of this stock that i know of are 2 people 1 i sold to guy off craigslist.  the other was a guy that bought 1 of each from my supplier and to the best of my ability he was from Colorado and sold them on ebay.  I am not sure of that last fact though.  

I have roughly 15-20 different concerts here and most have several of them.  I am listing them all as quantity 3 and a buy it now at a price very fair to cheap.  I will accept offers on multiples in the same order and if by some chance you require more than 3 of any particular concert please email and we can work out a lot price.  thanks.  

I was gonna pay to have them framed but i dont have another 20K to invest in them so they will be sent in between 2 rigid pieces of cards reinforced to avoid damage.
