When I was a child more than 40+ years ago my father was in the antique jewelry business. 

From time to time he would come home with different treasures and occasionally he would let me "acquire" them!

This is much, much nicer in person. 

It is uniformly green and has an orange enamel/paint in the design.

This is an antique/vintage large Rectangle shaped Asian (Japanese) Motif Painted Stone.  

It looks to me like it is Green onyx but it could be other natural materials or even glass. 

I'm really not sure.  

It measures approx. 15 mm (5/8") x 24 mm (1").  

I have black onyx bars that came with some of these that can be mounted on either side of the stone for effect.
