Falsos Conejos biography
FALSOS CONEJOS is an instrumental act from Argentina that was founded in 2006 with an aim toward exploring the scopes of improvisation and experimentation and the use of unusual rhythms, harmonies and meters in the rock language. As an inside joke, an early biography of the band read that the band was formed through the initiatives of three music students of Guarani composer Zofal Onejo. as a continuation of this joke, all three members use the word Conejo as their last name (just like THE RAMONES, for instance!). the band?s progressive style is strongly rooted in the psychedelic paragon, but the trio is constantly open to eclectic development when writing and arranging their material: generally speaking, the band?s sound is powerful and versatile, taking elements of progressive, math-rock and post-rock and fusing them in a dynamic unity.

The EP ?AntiTango?, the band?s first effort, was recorded in 2006 and released in 2007: it comprised 7 tracks recorded live at a studio. For the next two years, the band went on performing live gigs extensively in the underground scene of Buenos Aires; they also founded Ciclo MonteConejo, a venue where FALSO CONEJOS and other friend bands performed multimedia concerts, a type of endeavor that the band embraces particularly. In the first months of 2009, the trio started the pre-production of their first long-play CD, on the basis of jams and constructions recorded live in an old house at the outskirts of Buenos Aires during August of the same year. Eventually, this album entitled ?YYY? was released in mid-2010 though the Viajero Inmóvil label.
