Thurman Lee Thomas (born May 16,
1966) is a former American football player
who was a running back in
the National Football League (NFL)
for the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins. Thomas was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in
2007 and into the College Football Hall of
Fame in 2008. Thomas was an important part of the Bills
"no-huddle offense" that won four consecutive AFC championships.
James Edward Kelly (born February
14, 1960) is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL)
for eleven seasons and spent the entirety of his NFL career with the Buffalo Bills. He also played two seasons with the Houston Gamblers in the United States Football
League (USFL). Kelly was selected by the Bills in the first
round of 1983 NFL draft and
was taken fourteenth overall. He chose to sign with the Gamblers instead and
did not play for the Bills until the USFL folded in 1986. Employing the "K-Gun" offense,
known for its no-huddle shotgun formations, Kelly led one of the greatest NFL
scoring juggernauts. From 1990 season to the 1993 season, he helped guide the
Bills to a record four consecutive Super Bowls, although the team lost each game. (Only two other
teams have gone to three straight Super Bowls, the Miami Dolphins, with Bob Griese, and the New England Patriots, with Tom Brady.) In 2002, Kelly was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame,
his first year of eligibility. His jersey number 12 is one of only three
numbers retired by the Buffalo Bills as of 2018.
Steven Jay Tasker (born April 10, 1962) is an American sports
reporter, nationally for CBS Sports and locally in Western New York on the MSG Western New York cable TV station, and on WGR Radio. He is a former football player who was a wide
receiver and gunner in the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted in the ninth round (226th overall) of the 1985 NFL Draft by the Houston Oilers. He played college football at Northwestern. He began his college career at Dodge City Community College. Tasker played most of his pro career with
the Buffalo
Bills, and was voted by Bills
fans to the team's 50th season All-time Team. In 2008, the NFL
Network show NFL Top 10 ranked Tasker the ninth best former
player not enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He has several times been a nominee for the
Hall, and was a finalist as recently as 2011, but has not been elected as of
2019.
Andre Darnell Reed (born January 29,
1964) is a former professional American football player. He played wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL)
for 16 seasons, 15 with the Buffalo Bills (1985–1999) and one with the Washington Redskins (2000).
After being eligible for eight years, Reed was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in
2014. Reed is currently a Boys & Girls Club of America (BGCA) Ambassador
after being inducted to their Hall of Fame in 2015. In addition, he leads up a
literacy program for underprivileged youth in the BGCA, called Read with Reed
83 Challenge. Reed currently ranks eighteenth in NFL history in total
career receptions with
951. At the time of his retirement, Reed was second all-time in career
receptions.[1] In 2009, Reed was elected to the Buffalo Bills
50th Season All-Time Team.
Shane Patrick Conlan (born March 4, 1964) is a former professional American
football player. He
played college
football at Penn State University, where he won two national championships in 1982 and 1986, although he was red-shirted prior to the start
of the 1982 season and did not play that season. In 1981, prior to his Penn
State career and after his senior season at Frewsburg High School in which he played under head coach Thomas
Sharp, Conlan was voted Western New York high school Player of the Year. During
his career at Penn State, Conlan had 274 tackles, including a school-record 186
solos. He finished his football career as a three-time all-pro with the NFL's Buffalo Bills and the Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams.
