Each membrane purchase includes a Mur-Lok or Axeon capillary flow restrictor, sized for the membrane (1000 mL/min for 100 GPD; 730 mL/min for 75 GPD, 525 mL/min for 50 GPD). Maximum temperature for continuous operation above pH10 is 95F (35C). Under certain conditions, the presence of free chlorine and other oxidizing agents will cause premature membrane failure. Since oxidation damage is not covered under warranty, Dow Water & Process Solutions recommends removing residual free chlorine by pretreatment prior to membrane exposure.
