The Rouen suspension evokes the style
and quality of French or Italian lightfittings. Manufactured in Australia for
stellshouse, this fitting will create the authentic Art Deco flavour
and quality of imported lightfittings at a fraction of the cost. The shade is a
fine quality hand blown, opal matt "St Kilda" glass bowl. The "Steel Bronze" colour is hand finished to the heavy grade, solid brass, creating a unique patina that will become more interesting over time. This design is exclusive to stellshouse. It
carries full approvals for Australian use.

house.works light fittings are manufactured by two Australian companies that have both been operating for over 40 years. We have been dealing with them for over 30 years and will continue to do so for various reasons.
The fittings are assembled and finished in Australia using local and imported, heavy gauge components which give our light fittings an "old fashioned" weight and feel unlike the recent trend towards lightweight fixtures destined for a short lifespan, inherent with "fad" driven designs.
The manufacturers' status as "Trusted suppliers" means that regulatory bodies in Australia give blanket approval to their products, so all of our fittings comply with Australian approval requirements. The table lamps that we sell have individual registered approvals.

In recent years cheaper, low quality merchandise has flooded the market and we refuse to go down this road. Directly imported light fittings are rarely covered by Australian approvals. Please consider this when presented with prices that seem too good to be true.
