A stunning Victorian 9ct Gold Ruby, Diamond & Pearl set Target Ring dating to c1880, which has a Raised Circular Bezel (diameter approx' 18.0mm) set with beautiful Rubies & Rose-cut Diamonds within a border of Seed Pearls (please see detailed close up photographs, which form an integral part of the ring's description).
This wonderful Antique Ring, which weighs 5.0 grams, has a Plain Shank leading to the fabulous Gem set Bezel, which is set centrally with a beautiful Natural Ruby (approx' 3.0mm in diameter) surrounded by small Rose-cut Diamonds within a ring of matching natural Rubies - all set within an outer border of Seed Pearls to create a ring that is just sublime.
Typical of the Period this fine beautiful ring is unmarked, but it has been tested and is guaranteed to be made from solid 9ct Gold. It would appear that the Gem set Bezel has been historically re-mounted onto a later Rose Gold shank, as shown in the photo's provided. However the ring is in great condition overall with only wear commensurate with age - the Rubies are beautifully matched with superb colour and an even saturation making this a truly stunning Antique Ring that is sure to attract many admiring glances.
The Ring is sized as a UK Ring Size 'P 1/2', which equates to a US Ring Size '8' - as with almost all antique rings the band is slightly ovalized i.e
it is not perfectly round and it measures slightly differently on the gauge
depending on how it is positioned, however this will not affect the ring when
worn.
