Bluebird Books is an independent, internet-based bookseller in metro Denver, Colorado (USA) and operated by me, Eric Mayer. I am proud to be a member of both the Rocky Mountain Antiquarian Booksellers Association (RMABA) and the Independent Online Booksellers Association (IOBA). I imagine that you expect to be getting a quality item which has been accurately described, carefully packed, and promptly shipped to you. That is also my promise to you.

My specialties include 19th and 20th Century Classic Fiction and Literature; Fine Bindings; Illustrated Classics; Books about Birds, Wildlife and Natural History; Biography and Autobiography; History; as well as a wide variety of books on other subjects. I feature works published by the Modern Library, Everyman's Library, Limited Editions Club and other fine publishers. I am always on the lookout to buy similar items.
PAYMENT TERMS:
I expect payment at the time the item is ordered. Payment may be made through PayPal or with major credit cards.
SHIPPING:
I ship my books promptly (almost always on the next business day after order or sooner) from my base in Colorado in well-wrapped, crush- and moisture- resistant protective packaging. US shipments include Delivery Confirmation bar coding, so you can track the progress of your shipment.
RETURNS:
All items are sold on a satisfaction guaranteed basis. I guarantee the condition of every item as described. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase because it is not as described, I will refund the price of the item plus shipping costs both ways. If you've changed your mind about an item, or you just want to return it, I will ask that you pay for the shipping and I'll cheerfully refund the price of the book. In either case, items must be returned within 30 days of the date of receipt.
*A NOTE ABOUT USED BOOKS AND CONDITION VALUES:
I rate books and dust jackets on a scale from AS NEW to POOR, as follows:
AS NEW - Used when the book or dust jacket is in the same immaculate condition as when it was published, with no defects.
FINE - Approaches the condition of AS NEW, but lacking the crispness of a new book. These books or dust jackets should have no defects.
NEAR FINE - Approaching FINE but with slight flaws.
VERY GOOD - Describes a book or dust jacket that does show some small signs of wear or slight damage.
GOOD - Describes the average used worn book or jacket that has flaws and/or damages. (An old bookseller said it best, "In rare books, Good ain't good".)
FAIR - Worn book or jacket that is stained, has loose pages, tears, or otherwise has some sort of significant damage or other issue.
POOR - Describes a book that is worn, damaged, stained or otherwise beat-up, making it useful as a reading copy but possibly not a collector copy. A POOR dust jacket is likely heavily torn, chipped or otherwise damaged.
(A ' + ' or a ' - ' can indicate a shading of these values...either a nudge up, or a nudge down.)
