It is very important to install these hot mirror type heat blocking filters so that the mirror faces the light source when installing. The following sale is for 4 ILFORD MULTI-GRADE 500 sized (14.8MMX29.8MM), Hot Mirror type Heat filter to be used in the 300 Watt ELH models or the older 150 watt lamp.  these hot mirrors are 1 f-stop faster than the Stock filters.

I have sold many of these hot filters all over the world & people love them. If you have recently purchased any heat filters from new vision photo or Jay Overmoen please check that your mirror side of the filter is facing the light source and that the dull side of the filter faces the colored dichro filter.  The size of the filters are 14.8MMX29.8MM.

The heat filters work despite there orientation. They are simply more efficient if the mirror side faces the light. My normal price is $89 for 4 IMG500 heat filters. . The price will be going back after the new year so get them for a low low price when you can! This is a 50% off sale at only 44.95! My lowest prices of the year.

The filter on the left is the Stock factory filter. The filter on the right is the hot mirror type heat blocking filter, which  Is 1 full F-Stop faster than the factory filter shown on the left. When installing these heat filters install them so that the mirror side of the filter faces the light source and the dull side faces your dichro  color filter. These filters allow the lower powered early ILFORD MULTI GRADE heads which used the 150 watt lamps to have the same effective light output as the Newer 300 watt ILFORD MULTI-GRADE Heads. That is an amazing thing! More light & less heat!  If you currently own the ELH (300 Watt 120 Volt Model heads you will still pick up 1 full stop of light output. The filters are coated onto PURE Schott Planar Glass. These Nano-Coated Infra Red Heat Blocking HOT MIRROR TYPE filters & they are far superior compared to the glass coating techniques used in the mid 1990's. The technology used to make these filters is far more advanced than the technology that existed in the mid 90's& late 80's. IE: 1994. Please message me any questions you may have. Thanks for looking at my hot mirror heat filters that one should install with the mirror side facing the lamp or light source.  The efficiency of the hot mirror is far better if you confirm the mirror side of the  hot mirror faces your lamp or light source.   I have never heard of any of these filters ever breaking or having any issues of any kind since I have been selling them on ebay for years Worldwide. I have only gotten positive feedback on their performance in the dark room, ever since I  have been selling them.   One can use almost any focussed & bright light source or a led flashlight, to shine on the surfaces of the hot mirror.  It will be very obvious which side has a mirror coating and which side is dull.  The mirror side will reflect all the way out to the edges of the filter, whereas the non mirrored side will have anomalies near the edge.
