About the Photographer: An artist, teacher, sculptor and photographer from Germany, Karl Blossfeldt (1865 – 1932), worked in Berlin. He was inspired by nature and reflected this muse in his close-up photography of  plants. He was enthusiastic towards the study of nature and he spent three decades photographing nothing else but plants. Plants held an artistic and architectural pattern, for him.
