PURNELL

                            ANDY PANDY'S ANNUAL  1973

Andy Pandy together with Teddy was an early TV star when the BBC was the only channel and the picture was black and white.

He was very popular and in what passed for marketing in the early 1950s, there were many spin offs, including books, comics and Annuals.

It was Purnell who took the lead, and by 1973, the Annual appeared most years.

The Annual is a mix of text stories, picture stories and puzzles. Aimed at the under fives, it still exerts a nostalgic fascination for an age of innocence.

The book is in VG condition with the following faults

Light rubbing to the cover boards.

The two painting pictures have been attempted with wax crayon.

The book is clean and bright, and unclipped.

                                                                            8.5 out of 10

I sell mostly second hand books and I try to convey overall condition by rating out of 10. New would be 10, whilst anything over 9 would be collectible in that the book would be lightly read, and with no damage or wear. An 8 rating would be a decent copy, appropriate for its age.
Once it gets a 7 rating, then there will be faults that you should consider carefully. 6 or lower are generally reading copies or collection fillers that are offered because of their rarity or interest. Again, check the faults carefully.
