1854 1ed Journey to Central Africa EGYPT
Sudan Ethiopia MAP Nile Bayard Taylor
Bayard Taylor was a 19th-century travel writer whose abundant
notes and reports have been referenced for decades since the mid-1800s.
Taylor’s writings have even been quoted by politicians and authors who
supported his racial discriminatory views.
In 1854, Taylor published ‘A Journey to Central Africa’ which was a
detailed report of his time in Egypt, Ethiopia, and Sudan in 1851. This work
provides incredible details about the native tribes he encountered, his
experiences on the Nile river, and various discoveries. This book includes an
impressive folding map, illustrating his journey’s route, which extended beyond
Khartoum.
