What is the SwirlRepair 5-cylinder rod?

The SwirlRepair 5-cylinder rod with the proven swirlRepair bushings is a replacement for the swirl operating rod of the following engines:

Fiat Alfa Romeo 939A3000

2.4 Multijet / JTDM 20V, 147kW / 200hp)

2.4 Multijet / JTDM 20V, 154kW / 210hp)

On these engines the plastic ball joint bushings of the swirl rod often wear, which results in the swirl rod falling off. Rather than replacing the intake manifold assembly including swirl flaps when just the operating rod is damaged, only the worn plastic bushings of the operating rod are replaced with SwirlRepair bushings (also available on eBay), or the SwirlRepair rod offered here is simply installed.

How does the SwirlRepair rod work?

The SwirlRepair stainless steel rod comes with SwirlRepair bushings from high quality brass and stainless steel. Simply remove the defective rod that has fallen off the swirls, check if all swirls except the third from the left still move easily (eg with a long screwdriver), turn the swirl flaps' ball joints to the right position and attach the SwirlRepair Rod. That's it.

What are the advantages of SwirlRepair?

SwirlRepair is much cheaper than an exchange of the complete intake manifold assembly. Also if the swirl operating rod has come adrift and your vehicle should not yet have recognized the defect, a repair with SwirlRepair will still pay off quickly.
