A unique and historic 1980 environmental protest button.

Ten years after the first Earth Day, President Jimmy Carter

declared April 22, 1980 as EARTH DAY.  The ten year

anniversary of the original Earth Day commemorated

the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and

rededicated the United States of America to the

original goals of the First Earth Day.  This button

was one of many used by dozens of environmental

groups to publicize and commemorate this occasion.

This button was designed and manufactured by Larry Fox,

"The Button Man" (Member: A.P.I.C.) and was used extensively by groups

and individuals at Save the Earth Demonstrations, Environmental Protests,

and Earth Day celebrations throughout the 80's and 90's.
