The Pyronix Enforcer control panel battery is an 8-cell pack of nickel metal hydride (Ni-MH) 9.6 volt rechargeable batteries. Available in 2 variations; a Standard 1300mAh and our trademark Extended Life 2200mAh.  The higher the mAh capacity, the greater the operational life and back up duration.

The XCELPLUS Standard model rated at 1300mAh is suitable for your Pyronix system, but may only offer 2-3 years life depending on the frequency of use and operating temperature.

The XCELPLUS Extended Life model is our high capacity battery pack rated at 2200mAh. The Extended Life model shouldn't require replacing for the next 4-5 years. We recommend the Extended Life model for value for money, offering a greater back up period ensuring your property is safe & secure for longer.

Features:
XCELPLUS are the only producer of Pyronix batteries to include a PTC resettable fuse, used to protect against over-current faults or reverse polarity insertion. All batteries can leak acid when they're depleted for long periods if gone unchecked. PTC resettable fuses prevent further damage to the control panel from short-circuit faults caused by battery acid. As of 2014 all batteries sold by XCELPLUS now feature this vital protection.

The original issued battery should be replaced every 2-3 years to ensure your alarm has enough battery power to sound the alarm in the event of a power cut. The XCELPLUS Extended Life battery will offer 4-5 years use before needing to be replaced. A flat battery will cause an alarm to sound on most systems.
