p28172. This is a scarce hand colored engraving by Mark Catesbury with his monogram at right of image within the impressed plate. Circa 1800.
Paper is early laid paper with the J.Whatman watermark and the size is 14 1/4" x 20 3/4". The impressed plate size is 10 3/8" x 13 1/2".
Identified as The Basterd Baltimore Bird, male and female, plus The Catalpah Tree. Excellent images and so very bright. Very Good+ condition.
