CONDITION ISSUE: On the Women of Star Trek In Motion, if you have the any of the cards in this set set, you probably know this already, but these cards have a major manufacturing defect that has been made apparent through time. They secrete a wax/oil like residue through time that builds up on the front of the cards. This problem is widespread as there was even a post of Rittenhouse's website about it.
All of the cards I have now in my own collection have done this including the sounds cards. I have found most of it can be removed if you take a paper towel and rubbing vigorously side to side with the grain of the plastic of the cards, but eventually it will build up again. In any case, I wanted mention that to anyone interested in this set.

THIS IS A COMPLETE SET OF 40 (ONLY 300 MADE OF EACH CARD) PROMO CARDS FROM THE WOMEN OF STAR TREK IN MOTION SET RELEASED BY RITTENHOUSE ARCHIVES IN MARCH OF 2000. THE IMAGE OF THESE CARDS ARE THE SAME ONES USED IN THE BASE SET. THERE WERE ONLY 300 PROMOS MADE FOR EACH CARD DEPICTING THE IMAGES OF BASE CARDS 1-32 VILLIANESS INSERTS V1-V4 AND HERIONES INSERTS H1-H4 FOR A TOTAL OF 40 POSSIBLE PROMOS. AN *EXAMPLE* PICTURE OF THE BACK OF THE CARDS IS INCLUDED TO SHOW THAT THIS PROMO IS 1 OF 300 AND THIS IS THE SAME FOR ALL THE CARDS. AROUND THE TIME OF THE RELEASE OF THIS PRODUCT THESE PARALLEL PROMO CARDS WERE MADE AVAILABLE BY THE PUBLISHER (RITTENHOUSE ARCHIVES) VIA A SEND IN OFFER (2 PROMOS PER NAME OR HOUSEHOLD) AND TO DEALERS WHICH MADE THEM VERY DIFFICULT TO OBTAIN TO COMPLETE A SET LIKE THIS.

INDIVIDUALLY THESE CARDS SELL FOR UPWARDS TO $100+ EACH MAKING THIS AN EXCELLENT DEAL.

THERE WERE ONLY 5000 BOXES OF THIS PRODUCT RELEASED WITH 3 CARDS PER PACK AND 20 PACKS PER BOX. THERE WERE SOUND IN MOTION CARDS AND ALSO 2 INSERT SUBSETS ALONG WITH ARCHIVE COLLECTION CARDS LIMITED TO 999 AND GOLD ARCHIVES LIMITED TO 500. ALSO INSERTED WERE AUTOGRAPHS AT A RATE OF 1 PER BOX.
