A lovely signed oil on panel by Georges Croegaert depicting figures in a park and two young girls having a picnic and feeding the cats. the work is on panel and in its original frame. The painters work is highly prized and makes substantial sums at auction.

Having arrived in Paris in 1876, Croegaert remained there for many years. He is mentioned at the Salon de Paris in 1888 and in 1914 was present at the Salon des Artistes Français. His small street scenes with elegant women in salons, notably his Model at Rest ( Le Repos du modèle), are painted in iridescent colours.
