The state of Arizona is under a stay-at-home order which is making our shipping difficult. We are extending our shipping limit to 20 days. We hope to ship in less time, and we hope soon to be back to our old policy of ten days. We ask for and hope for your patience.

Fridrik Olafsson is largely forgotten today. In his youth, though, he was a Candidate for the World Championship.  Along the way he played 12 games against Tigran Petrosian, the famous "Iron Tigran"  who became world champion and rarely lost.   All 12 games of their encounters, including Olafsson's back-to-back wins at the 1959 Candidates.  This made Olafsson a member of the "Tigran Petrosian Society," one of a handful of men to beat Petrosian twice in a row.  Plus photographs and analysis.
