What Are Lamp Harps Used For?
Lamp Harps connect to lamp bases and enable you to attach a lampshade to your lamp. The two "legs" at the bottom of the harp attach to the "saddle" which sits below the lamp's socket. Lamp Harps fit over a lamp's light bulb, simultaneously protecting + diffusing the light bulb and providing support for the lampshade.
Our Lamp Harp Sets accommodate standard light bulb shapes and sizes, allowing enough room between the harp and the bulb to prevent overheating.
What Size of Lamp Harp Do You Need?
In order for the bottom of your lampshade to sit below your lamp's light socket, you'll need the right size of harp. Select a harp that's at least 2 inches shorter than the height of your lampshade. If you would like a more dramatic look for your lamp, allow your lampshade to cover a portion of your lamp's base by choosing a harp that's 4-8 inches shorter than the height of your lampshade.
