This is a rare January 1961 "Playgram" playbill (with an original ticket stub) from the Off-Broadway revival of the LEON GORDON drama "WHITE CARGO" at the Players Theatre in New York City. (The production opened December 29th, 1960 and closed after only ten performances.) ..... The play starred JED HUDSON as "Harry Witzel" and MARCIA HOWARD as "Tondeleyo", a native girl and the cast included BEN HAYES, DONALD MARYE, NORRIS BORDEN, JOSEPH HAMER, BRITT BARTO, RICHARD KINTER, CHARLES HARRIGAN, NEVILLE MUR, GEORGE STARR, NELSON TIRADO, ERNEST FIERRON, GEORGE LUIS RODRIGUEZ and TONY CASTANO ..... Includes a ticket envelope and a loose ticket stub from the January 5th, 1961 evening performance ..... CONDITION: With the exception of light discoloration, a stamped date in two places and handwritten comments on the cast list, this rare playbill is in excellent condition. The ticket envelope is also stamped with the date and has handwritten details on the front. This set will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian.
