A set of computer cut vinyl window tinting & silver/grey & black blanks decal pack

for Hornby East Coast trains Coaches Mk4 Flying Scotsman

for improving the Hornby Flying Scotsman Mk4 Set & MK4 coaches in East coast trains Livery

I previously improved my Hornby Flying Scotsman East coast livery Mk4 train. I had good comments about the improved appearance of the models so I have made additional sets of these self adhesive vinyl decals. The advantage of these self adhesive vinyl decals is that you can easily apply them rather than paint, and should you wish you can remove them afterwards and revert to the original finish.

These are designed to be fitted to the Hornby Mk4 Coaches in East Coast Trains Livery (Hornby refs R3133, R4540, R4541, R4542)

Included are: Decals for up to 5 Mk4 Coaches

  • Tinted window decals for 5 Vehicles.
  • Silver Blanking panels for the small windows (toilets) on the open carriages.
  • Extra Silver Blanking panels for the Buffet coach windows.
  • Luggage rack components to place inside the coach windows
  • 12 x Destination labels for inside door. (fits inside LH door)
  • Black window sections for the First class Catering crew rest area
  • Handrail decals for small windows opposite the disable loo

Each tinted window vinyl is fitted with a tab to avoid finger prints when fitting them to the clear plastic of the model, this tab will need cutting off with a sharp model knife once the decal is applied. Please see my photos for examples of these vinyls fitted to models.

Each pack contains enough Decals for 5 Coaches so if you have a 9 coach trains you will need two packs.

The Window tinting fits inside the coach, as do the luggage rack decals, destination decals, and handrails the Silver 'Blank' panels fit on the outside of the windows on the disassembled model, so appear as blank panels when reassembled.

Hornby Mk4 coaches : It is easy to remove the Window section from the Coach, simply use a small screwdriver to pop the release catch beneath the end of the coach under the bogie at the coupling end, the corridor connection end should come away a little, do this to both ends and then gently squeeze the windows inwards and the side frames outwards a little, the two sections, roof and windows, and frame and sides should now come apart, allowing access to the interior of the coach.

Sorry but the Mk4 East Coast models are not included!

These photos are to illustrate the decals applied to models.
