This is a rare October 1977 playbill (with an original ticket stub) from the Pre-Broadway engagement of the HAMILTON DEANE and JOHN L. BALDERSTON version of Bram Stoker's "DRACULA" at the Wilbur Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts. (The production would open October 20th, 1977 at the Martin Beck Theatre in New York City and run for 925 performances.) ..... The play starred FRANK LANGELLA in the title role and featured ALAN COATES, JEROME DEMPSEY, DILLON EVANS, BAXTER HARRIS, RICHARD KAVANAUGH, GRETCHEN OEHLER and ANN SACHS ..... Side Note: The production was awarded a 1978 Tony Award for "Most Innovative Production of a Revival" due primarily to the ambitious sets and breathtaking costumes designed by EDWARD GOREY. The only other Tony Award presented to "DRACULA" was for EDWARD GOREY's costume designs .....
