The TrikeBuggy Foot Rests/Straps can be used in two ways - They can be used to hold the heel of your boot during launch and flight while your foot is on the front wheel steering bars like a heel stirrup.

They can also be used to hold the arch of your boot if you have longer legs and lay them over the pegs. This is also helpful, since it limits the throw of the front wheel from hyperactive leg activity.
