Hugh McElhenny, "The King",  joined the 1961 Original Vikings Team in 1961 after the San Francisco 49'ers made him available in the NFL expansion  That year he led the Vikings in rushing and was selected to the Pro-Bowl.  The next year he was traded to the NY. Giants where he was reunited with his HOF quartertback Y.A. Tittle.  McElhenny was elected to the NFL. Hall of Fame in 1970 and the College Football HOF in 1981.  McElhenny was elected to the NFL. Hall of Fame in 1970 and the College Football HOF in 1981.  McElhenny passed June 17, 2022 at the age of 93.

McElhenny signed this photo at a Triple Crown Sports Collectibles Show in September, 1999 at Southtown Shopping Center in Bloomington, Minnesota.
