Condition
The capstan inwell is in good condition for its age, it is 112 years old. It has some signs of wear as you can see from the pictures. It has some small dents around the base and it has a small hole in the center area of the lid. It is missing the inkwell liner.
The lid is not closing properly, however I am sure that the hinge can be fixed.
The watch is working for around 6-8 hours and then stops, it needs a service. The dial has some yellowing.
It is a rare and interesting complete capstan inkwell from Mappin & Webb.
