Different connector will be applied in different protocol:
- OBD-16 pin connector supports J1708/J1587 or J1939 protocol.
- DIESEL-9 pin connector supports J1708/J1587 protocol and J1939 protocol.
- DIESEL-6 pin connector supports only J1708/J1587 protocol.
- CAT-9 pin connector supports J1708/J1587 or J1939 protocol.
(OBD-16 PIN, Diesel 6&9 PIN are already included in the package)

Besides the diagnostic function for diesel heavy duty truck, this F506 truck diagnostic scanner also supports almost all cars with OBDII protocols(12V), which performs the almost same functions as common OBDII code reader.
- Read stored/pending codes: Present some diagnostic trouble codes after scanning the vehicle.
- Clear trouble codes: Clear the fault codes after doing the repair according to the prompt of the scanner.
- Read Freeze Frame: Reads and displays live ECU/PCM data stream, plotting functions graphically and stores freeze frame data.
- I/M Readiness: Shows whether the various emissions-related systems on the vehicle are operating properly and are ready for inspection and maintenance testing.
- O2 Monitor Test/Component test: Allows retrieval and viewing of O2 sensor monitor test results for the most recently performed tests from the vehicle’s on-board computer.
- On-Board Monitor Test: Retrieves and displays test results for emission-related powertrain components and systems.
- Vehicle information: Display the information such as VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), CID (Calibration ID) and CVN (Calibration verification number), etc.
- DTC Lookup: Input the DTC number such as P0112, this scanner will give a definition of the DTC.
