French Lalique School crystal vase features clear and frosted glass with repeating high relief thistle pattern, so very similar in design to the Lalique. Verlys Glass was originally made in Rouen, France, by the SOCIÉTÉ HOLOPHANE FRANÇAIS, a company that started in 1920 and from 1935 to 1951 Vergys glass was made in Newark, Ohio. The American Glass is signed with a diamond-point-scratched name (Verlys in script like this one), but the French pieces are marked with molded signature. Measures: 10" height x 6.5" in diameter on the top, 6" in diameter on the top inner, 4 3/4" in diameter on the bottom base. Over 1/4" thick glass. Weight: 5 Pounds, 12 ozs.
