Photoplay was one of America’s first film fan magazines - full of gossip, pictures and inside stories, it offered a great read at the time. But now, looking back through the decades it is a wonderful window on the biggest stars of the time, their highs and lows, marriages and divorces. Many of the stories have a slightly ‘bitchy’ feel, again making the articles fascinating to read! Plus the advertisements are great.
