XBOX360 GPU Heatsink Fan Kit.
We made this kit because the RROD is caused by the GPU overheating. Putting a fan directly on the GPU Heatsink is the only solution you can do to keep the GPU cool. This is a plug and play solution that allows you to mount the dvd drive on top of the console and mount a fan on top of the GPU Heatsink. This kit can be installed on any XBOX360 with a GPU Heatsink. Even if you have already MODDED your XBOX360 you can still install this kit without any problems.
The solder melting under the GPU is the reason the XBOX360 gets the RROD 99.9% of the time (the solder under the CPU never melts). When solder melts, the solder joints break and you get the RROD. The reason why this happens is the DVD Drive is sitting on top of the GPU Heatsink and the GPU Heatsink is ¼ the size of the CPU Heatsink. Since the fan runs on an AC Adapter, it does NOT interfere with any MOD’s that you may currently have on your XBOX360 (such as other fans, lights, spliced/added wires to the motherboard etc). The AC Adapter is better because we have found that splicing into the DVD Drive power cable to run a 12 volt fan can cause the RROD (the more electricity you have running through the motherboard the hotter it gets). The AC Adapter comes with an ON/OFF Switch for easier operation. The 20 inch DVD Drive Power Cable has no solder or splices, which prevents damage to the DVD Drive. This kit works with Xenon, Zephyr, Falcon, Opus, and Jasper motherboards

This GPU Heatsink Fan Kit is easy to install (Plug and Play). Remove your original short cables and install our long cables.
The DVD Drive EJECT Button works the same as it did before the kit is installed.
This Kit does not affect xbox live.
The Fan is CE, ROHS certified.
The AC Adapter is UL Listed, CE, and ROHS certified

We have found that splicing into the DVD Drive Power cable to run a 12v Fan can cause the RROD. That is why we use an AC Adapter.

Do not plug the cable in upside down. By winning this auction, you are under a contractual agreement to READ AND FOLLOW ALL CABLE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS. Our Long Power Cable is the same as the Short (OEM) Power Cable, so it must be plugged in the same way.
POWER CABLE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE XBOX360 SLIM
Turn the DVD DRIVE so you are looking at the back. When the power cable is plugged in, the two empty holes of the connector should be on the left side when you are looking at the back of the DVD Drive.
Turn the XBOX360 SLIM Console so you are facing the front of the it (the dvd drive power connector will be on the back-middle of the motherboard). When the power cable is plugged into the motherboard the two empty holes of the connector will be on the left side.
POWER CABLE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE XBOX360
Turn the DVD DRIVE so you are looking at the back. When the power cable is plugged in, the two empty holes of the connector should be on the left side when you are looking at the back of the DVD Drive.
Turn the XBOX360 Console so you are facing the front of the it (the dvd drive power connector will be on your left side). When the power cable is plugged into the motherboard the two empty holes of the connector will be at the bottom (or closest to you).
