Handsome piece of early Meissen porcelain, the 14” frying plate/platter, Royal Flute rim shape with edge gilding.  Floral cluster in the center with insects and floral arrangements around the edge.

The Meissen mark of the crossed swords is used with definitive pommels, dating the piece from 1815-1860.  Other references indicate this mark to date from 1850-1924.

The Meissen factory still produces the most expensive porcelain in the world.

The condition is excellent, very light gilding loss on the edges from use and cleaning.  Display stand not included.
