Vintage Roamer Brevete 215999/180459 Military Style WW2 Era 17 Jewel Mechanical Gents Wrist Watch with Tropical Dial and Red Seconds Hand

This is a stunning CHROME RHODIUM PLATED cased Roamer watch with a lovely age related discoloured Grey tropical dial. The watch also has an unusual red second indicator. The face is marked 'Roamer, Water Resist, Shock Resist, 17 Jewels, Antimagnetic, Swiss'. The hands have some slight discolouration too. The plexiglass crystal hardly noticeable scratches.

In Working Condition

The case-back has two Brevete patent numbers, 215999 and 180459 for a two part piece waterproof casing system, patented in 1940 and a two part stem system patented in 1936. Roamer licenced and started using these patents in the early 1940s. Serial and model number rear case back.

It measures approx 33mm excluding the crown by 40mm from lug to lug
