It is powered by a very silent Japanese Mabuchi motor that features four programmed settings (650, 900, 1350, or 1800 TPD) which prevents the winder from over-winding or straining the internal mechanisms of the watch. This watch winder has 4 different program settings. 1st: winder rotates for 60 seconds, then rests for 12 minutes, then repeats cycle. 2nd: winder rotates for 60 seconds, then rests for 15 minutes, then repeats the cycle. 3rd: winder will rotate for 60 seconds, then rest for 18 minutes, then rotate for 60 seconds in the opposite direction, then rest for 18 minutes, then it repeats the cycle from the beginning. 4th: winder will rotate for 60 seconds, then rest for 24 minutes, then repeat the cycle.
