A Young Girl's Dream
by Norman Rockwell

Fine China

In Excellent Condition. Foxed by age, no chips or scratches the glaze and the gold still in perfect condition considering the age, there are two small white dots on the left by the blue hand luggage (as per photos).

Painted in 1930 by Norman Rockwell this portrait perfectly encapsulates this young girl's hopes and dreams for her new life in America.
This was the first Plate Series approved by the Norman Rockwell family trust and is the First Issue in "Rockwell's American Dream"
A very attractive portrait from the thirties with the added little touches of her luggage and railway station seat.

Born in New York City in 1894, Norman Rockwell always wanted to be an artist. At age 14, Rockwell enrolled in art classes at The New York School of Art (formerly The Chase School of Art). Two years later, in 1910, he left high school to study art at The National Academy of Design
