DB25 DSUB 25-pin Male Adapter RS-232 Breakout Board Connector & Enclosure (D41)

MALE DB25 adapter / breakout board with 25 pins plus shield connected to screw terminal blocks, allowing simple and quick connections for prototyping or permanent installation.

Two versions are available: This listing is for the MALE variant.

• Male DB25 with Captive screws for use with a mating connector that already has Screwlock / Jack screws fitted
• Female DB25 with Screwlock / Jack screws for mounting the adaptor board to a wall box or panel that has a DB25 cut-out - see alternative listing in my eBay shop.
  

Captive screws are male #4-40 UNC screws coming out of the face of the connector to accommodate direct mounting to a mating connector with jack screws.
Screwlock / Jack screws are the hex standoffs often fitted on D-SUB connectors. They are threaded for #4-40 UNC screws. They are for connecting to a cable which has thumbscrews or for mounting in a wall plate / panel which has a DB25 cut-out

Details
The small footprint means that the end profile of the breakout board is no wider than the connector itself. This can be important for installations where equipment contains multiple connectors which are spaced closely together. These adapter boards can be mounted directly to the equipment without using extension cables.

These adapter boards are used for experimentation or prototype work with RS-232 serial ports, I/O cards, and any other device that uses a DB25 connector.
