In the late 1950s a number of animated Tintin feature films were commissioned by Belvision - these included The Black Island, The Crab with the Golden Claws, The Star of Mystery (The Shooting Star), The Secret of the Unicorn, Red Rackham's Treasure, Objective Moon (Destination Moon and Explorers on the Moon combined) and The Calculus Case. They were produced by Raymond Leblanc and directed by Ray Goossens. They were animated in the USA and the animators included the well known C. L. Hartman who started with Disney before going on to do extensive work in the 1950s-70s on many animated TV Series including much work Hanna Barbera (see IMBb for more info). In the UK these films were first shown as 5 minute daily episodes - many of you will remember the iconic cry "Herrrgeeees Adventurrrres of Tintinnnnn" as the episodes started (note these have never been released on DVD and are only available on VHS - please check if interested as I often have a small stock of these films). Recently many of the original drawings from the Animation Studio who produced these films have been sold off and I have obtained a small quantity of these, so here is a chance to obtain some of these unique and historic original drawings.

For sale here is :

An original drawing for the 1960 Raymond Leblanc Belvision Objective Moon Tintin Adventure from the studio archive. This drawing is of Wolff - he is very small but beautifully detailed - this is for the scene where they are with the crashed test rocket and the scale is such that Wolff is very small against the size of the rocket (drawn separately). The drawing is on "Riverside Bond" paper 12.5"x10.5" (32x26.5cm). The drawing is in pencil with some colouring in red crayon outlining the edge of the damaged rocket. You can see in the bottom right hand corner references W19 (W stands for Wolff) and the folder reference T7 / 60. A lovely collectable. SPECIAL OFFER - REDUCED FROM £29 TO £19.90.

Postage is UK £3.90 Second Signed For, Europe £11.90 International Signed For, Rest of World £14.90 International Signed For. Note that I will always combine postage - you only ever pay actual Royal Mail cost.
