This is a magnificent 1877 French bronze on marble showing a boy scared of a snail; done by world famous artist Ernest Louis Barrias born in Paris 1841 ; signed and dated by the artist.

It measures 3.7" by 3.6" and 5.8" tall. Marble base with four bronze legs measures 0.85" .

It was purchased in Paris along with a group of children bronzes.

It has a wonderful patina, detail, design and workmanship.
