The Marine 16 Diesel Bug Treatment is the first choice of the RNLI and is proven to KILL diesel bug.
Fuel bugs survive in the interface between the water and the fuel above, in short they live in the water and feed off the fuel. When there was more sulphur in fuel this helped keep them at bay, with legislation requiring low sulphur fuel the incidents of fuel bugs are increasing.
Diesel Bugs will be completely eradicated by using Marine 16 Diesel Bug Treatment in most cases there is no need to clean your fuel tank as the dead bugs are reduced to fine particles which are picked up by your fuel filter.
