BIRCH No. 1

BIRCH NO.1 is an abstract of a birch forest near Park City Utah.  I have always loved the look of a birch tree with its paper- like bark and shining leaves.  I used the remaining giclee print out of only two giclees printed to create three separate pieces.  This  print is 5x7 matted in an 11 x 14 archival, museum quality mat.  BIRCH NOS. 2 sold and #3 is on a separate listings.

The giclee process involves taking the original to a reputable printer to be scanned.  Prints are then checked by them and me for color accuracy.  Once satisfied, I choose an archival watercolor paper and had  two prints made.   It is not an inexpensive process.

I used  long, torn strips of artist tape to create the tree shapes, then painted over them.  Once dry, I removed the tape and  Voila!  Birch trees.  So much fun!

Thank you for looking!  Be well, Patsy

I would consider bundling this piece with Birch #3.
