Harvested from the ancient quarries of the Apuan Alps in Italy—the Ca36 “Bardiglio” Tone Bar is made from materials quarried from the same location that provided marble blocks for the Roman Pantheon in 142 AD and Michelangelo’s “David” in the year 1501.

Carrara Marble has enjoyed a rich history throughout the ages and is valued both for its beauty and for its functionality. The Ca36 Bardiglio Guitar slide is a testament to this balance of form and function.

This stone slide is perfect for lap slide guitar and steel guitar, but it is also thin enough to be held comfortably between the index and ring fingers with pressure from the middle finger—this allows the user to play slide with the guitar in the upright position.

Marble is a metamorphic rock that obtains its distinctive look from many years of subjection to heat and pressure and the introduction of sediment and organic matter. It is softer than steel, but it has been shown to have sonic qualities that resonate similar to metal.

The marble playing surface is polished smooth and will glide across your strings with ease; it will wear according to your playing, but thus is the nature of stone to be formed into mountains and then further transformed by its environment.

Marble is a natural product, so the look of your slide will not look exactly like the slide pictured. Every slide will be made of gray marble, but the darkness and consistency of the veins will vary based on my available stock.

The Ca36 marble tone bar comes with a cotton drawstring carrying bag to protect its finish from the hazards of your everyday carry.
