Vintage Antique Late Ottoman Robe Caftan Handwoven with Three Panels from 1910s. Made in Turkey/ Anatolia

The original name of this robe is"Üçetek" (meaning three panels) and this type of traditional clothing was very common among women to wear at celebrations or weddings in Turkey / Ottoman Empire in early 1900s.

This vintage coat / caftan is from my great grandmother’s collection of caftans to wear at festivities and wedding celebrations in her small town in Anatolia at the time.

It has been preserved in a family dowry chest and there are some small black stains on the fabric

due to storage over decades (please see photos) but besides that it is in excellent condition. In order to keep its original form, no reparations are made.

It can be framed and hanged on a large wall for decoration.

White cotton fabric lining inside and black handmade embroidery on the bottom and arms.

Dimensions:

Length: 124 cm (49 inches)

Bust: 58 cm (23 inches)
