LINE HISTORY: Formerly part of the D&RG network, the M&M Tennessee Pass subdivision was a connector short line from Dotsero CO to Pueblo CO, providing a shortcut between the UP Minturn Yard to the AT&SF Pueblo/Spanish Peaks subdivisions. Primarily used for heavy coal hauling to the Colorado Coal and Iron and midwestern utility scale power plants, the line also shared manifest duty for UP and AT&SF with trackage rights. Several notorious derailments around the 3% grade Tennessee Pass have forced us to shut down and sell off our assets. Our motive power and car fleets come from only the finest brands in the industry and mostly were used for potential customer display purposes. All locos are some the rarest diesels in realistic consists and have been short line tested and guaranteed to work as new unless noted in the listing. And we have a huge assortment of rolling stock from serious unit coal trains, tank trains, autoracks, modern intermodal double stack trains, and rare manifest components. The trackage is the finest Kato Unitrack and all of it is in as new condition. Were are even selling some of our customer's buildings! OUR STORY: As an electronics design firm, we investigated a new wireless scale model control system operating in the 500Mhz range. A novel system that provided unmatched in-cab monitoring (drawbar load weight, CTC/PTC and active DPU/EOT links) and control (slip control, heavy load start-up load curves and realistic sanding). We built the M&M to demonstrate the proposed system and provide an exciting test layout for the design in our office. Unfortunately the realities of existing embedded DCC as competition made our business impractical, so we are not pursuing this further.
SHIPPING: We ship USPS First Class for US and Canadian delivery of single and small combined purchases up to 1lb and automatically upgrade to Priority mail for combined purchases over 1lb. We don't currently ship to other international destinations, message us if you are interested in us doing so. We pack our consists in an EXCEPTIONAL fashion - we use all new packing in BOXES ONLY: no envelopes like many others do! We do COMBINE multiple shipments at cost only - we will refund any excess shipping back to you if you purchase multiple items. We do not rip off our valued customers by overcharging shipping! NOTE we use only new boxes for our shipments as they provide reliable structural rigidity! That's why we have had ZERO shipping damage in the last 3 years!
RETURNS: Products are sold on a strictly as-is basis. Please examine the pictures carefully, we use high resolution NIKON digital cameras for our photography. We are not rivet counters or train experts so we can't be sure everything is perfect. However we understand items still may not be as needed or expected so we also provide our customers with a 30day return policy if you are unsatisfied in any way.
