Trigger Nymph, Tungsten Bead Trigger Nymphs, Tail Water Tungsten Bead Head Nymph, BH Nymph

ITEM DESCRIPTION-

Tungsten Bead Head Trigger Nymphs  - This is a custom Pattern that was developed by Capt. Ken Tutalo and members of my guide staff. This pattern evolved over many years of guiding on the tail waters of New York's Upper Delaware River. This is the final pattern that I settled on and have been using for the last decade. Quite simply this fly gets it done. In heavily fished waters this fly will get takes when the traditional stuff gets ignored. Although this fly was developed on the Upper Delaware River I have used it everywhere Trout swim with total success.  These patterns are perfect for the large western tailwaters, East Tennessee, Arkansas and anywhere that fish feed on tiny insects.  I have these tied with tungsten beads for times when getting down quick is the difference in getting strikes.

These particular flies are ties specifically for fishing our modern day tail waters rivers. Anyone knows that the Trout that live in these big tail water rivers earn a living eating tiny insects. Anyone who fishes these river also knows that when you fish tiny flies in rivers with heavy flows that the hook up to landing ratio is very lopsided in the favor of the Trout. I noticed a long time ago that I net far more Trout for my clients in this situation on emerger style hooks. If you get a hookset with these hooks it usually stays put which is not the case with tiny "J" hooks.

We also tie our Custom Tungsten Pheasant Tail Nymphs and some of our custom emergers on these same hooks.
