Description
We are auctioning off on ebay part of an incredible estate. It is the estate of Isabel Corey, a French actress very well known in the 1950s and 1960s. You can find biographical info about Ms Corey on many film sites.
Born in 1939, Isabel Corey started modeling in Paris in her teens for such magazines as Jardin des Modes, until she was discovered in the Latin Quarter were she lived with her parents by Jean Pierre Melville and starred in his classic film noir, Bob le Flambeur. Following parts in such films as And God Created Woman (directed by Roger Vadim and with Brigitte Bardot), she continued her film career in Italy where she settled in Rome, to work with producers, directors and actors like Mauro Bolognini, Vittorio de Sica, Marcello Mastroianni, Alberto Sordi , Dino de Laurentis, Roberto Rossellini, Martine Carol and many more.
We are selling some of the most wonderful clothing items we have ever come across: couture and designer items, custom dresses from Paris and Rome, evening wear, fabulous 50s clothing designed for film costumes, handbags, scarves and much more.
Also, for any items reaching $250 as the final sale price, we will include a piece of memorabilia such as a vintage press clipping, or photo of Isabel Corey.
This is truly a chance to purchase a little piece of fashion and movie history!

Please note that many woolen items have been stored with moth balls over the years. It is often the only reason that antique or vintage woolens have survived to this day as they were not treated as they are today. They used to be stored away come spring and brought back out in the fall to be aired out and used again. If you are very sensitive to smells, you may need to have such items cleaned, so please bid accordingly, as we do not accept returns because items do not arrive freshly laudered. We do try to air things out weather permitting, but keep in mind that storage smells are reactivated during shipping. This is the case with all vintage/used items that have been stored and should generally be washed or cleaned to freshen them up. We list items as we find them.
Condition: Please look at photos, as they are part of the description and show condition. Most of the items we have listed are in good to excellent condition. We will specify any major flaws in the description, but do keep in mind that many of the items are vintage and as much as 50 years old. We rate items as follows:
Like new: never worn/used, no flaws, store bought condition
Mint: appears never worn, no flaws or signs of wear, but is preowned
Excellent: no flaws noted, may have been worn/used a few times
Very good: may have been worn/used a few times, may have been washed, or have tiny imperfections/signs of wear but we will indicate specific flaws if any
Good: we do not list items in less than good condition; items in good condition are those that show signs of normal wear and may have very minor flaws, but we will list noticeable flaws in listing if there are any such as a stain or a repair etc
We have a lot of items listed and may not be able to get you the info in a timely manner (but we’ll try :) Any additional items shown in photos such as jewelry, accessories, etc are listed separately and not included with this auction.
Please look carefully at photos and any measurements we may have included in the description before emailing us for additional measurements.
