Rare and new 1950's post war West German Chintz Fabric 'Pierrot' with labels

There is 60-70meters of this fabric and this auction is for 1 meter only - you have the option to buy more

Possibly Christian Fischbacher - Pierrot

My great aunt passed away in 2019, she was 103 y.o. and she was single all her life and a huge collector and lived in Australia. She always bought quality items.

All the fabrics I’m showing, I am aware she bought in Italy, West Germany, Czechoslovakia and France when she travelled between the 1950's and 1970's.

Many of the fabrics still have original labels. They were purchased between 1948 just following the war and 1970 and were wrapped carefully in plastic and protected. She had them shipped back from Europe to Australia.

In total I have approximately 250 meters of Chintz and Damask fabric and the brand is ‘Pierrot’ from West Germany.  It has 'Made in West Germany' stamped on the fabric

I have contacted Christian Fischbacher to determine if it is fabric from their factory in Germany.

The 50’s Chintz fabrics roll ends are labelled TD Waschbar from West Germany.

It’s polished / glazed pink and I also have blue Chintz.

The pink flower / vase chintz from West Germany is 100% cotton and after speaking to family I understand it was bought in the 1950’s from Chemnitz, Germany and is a medium / heavy fabric.

It feels very tough so could be used for:

Width:  1.3m

Length: 1m

Length: 60-70m in two rolls

I am happy to sell the lot or $35p.m.

N.B. This auction is for 1 meter of the fabric so please advise how many meters you would like

Pick up available in Eastern Suburbs and if by post the fabric will be folded and sent
