UKIYO-E JAPANESE WOODBLOCK ART PRINT A Young Woman with a Dog ("Pictures of Ten Styles" - Jittaiga Fuzoku 十禮画風俗) by Torii Kiyonaga, ca. 1790–91 A beautiful woman, wrapped in sumptuous robes, layer after layer of silks - red outer garment covered in chrysanthemum roundels in delicate
colors, peachy furisode with orchid designs showing underneath, the
cream underrobe and red undergarment eventually leading your gaze to the
tiny white foot peeking out. Her stature, hairstyle and expensive
outfit show her as a woman of high standing. Anchoring her cascading
robes to the floor is another creature of breeding and elegance, a
Japanese spaniel, a distinctive toy breed favoured by nobility and
royalty. She gazes down on the little dog with that familiar expression (that we all have when we look at cute animals :), slight smile on her
flawless face. ★ Reproduced from an archive image, respectfully and lovingly restored and enhanced digitally, to remove the non-artistic blemishes and colour fading. ★ Available as A3 print (297mm x 420mm) or A2 print (420mm x 594mm). ★ A3 SIZE: Printed in England on a 350gsm Eucalyptus paper, made from eucalyptus pulp from sustainable sources.
